This journey has been mind blowing. I feel better than I have in years! I am 42, have 2 kids, 2 dogs, a husband and I am the Director of a 24x7x365 business. Needless to say, I am busy and focused on everyone else mainly before myself. I’ve always been well informed on diet and health, but the older I have gotten it gets harder and harder to lose any significant weight. To lose weight I’d work out at least 4 times a week and would have to nearly starve to lose a pound here and there. Not to mention, no one likes me on a diet, I get pretty cranky and snap at everyone.
I started out at 158 lbs in October and I’m down at least 20 lbs. I’ve even managed to get off sleeping meds I was taking and have been trying to manage my stress better.
In my first 2 weeks, I lost 10 lbs. I’ve slowed to a healthy loss of 1-2 lbs weekly since then. I have seen significant loss in fat around my waist and arms, most noticeably.
Each day I at the least have some activity if it’s an off day or I’m super busy, but 4 to 5 days a week, here is my normal routine:
- Morning: coffee and super greens drink
- Noon: workout 30-45 min. I do a bit of everything g from weights to yoga to Peloton rides and boot camps. Weekends I may be able to do a longer workout and 2 walks if I’m lucky!
- 1:00 PM: plant based protein shake with addition of MCT oil, collagen powder and a fiber packet.
- 3:00 PM: Greek yogurt with honey
- Dinner 5:30: I eat what I normally would for the most part, just half the quantity I used to. I do not eat anything else for the day, having a shake again the next afternoon.
- Evening: 30 min walk with the dogs
Even though life is hectic, I still put in the effort to make this a successful experience. I can’t wait to see how I look and feel at the end goal of 125.
